Hiking during my practicum (Kimana, Kenya)

My name is Jeremy Kidd.  I am a rising third-year medical student at Virginia Commonwealth University on leave pursuing a Master of Public Health in Social and Behavioral Sciences (SB) at Boston University School of Public Health (BUSPH).  On this site, you will find papers and projects that I have completed while at BUSPH.  Many of these activities have led to publications in academic journal or conference presentations.  I have developed a particular focus on sexual minority/LGBT communities; adolescent and mental health; and violence.

With a concentration in SB, I have completed coursework and acquired skills in assessment as well as intervention design, implementation and evaluation.  SB emphasizes the use of social science theories and models to promote wellness and reduce health disparities.
